Wide Open Road Art’s Connects is a series of interviews with local creatives, exploring our connection to places and landscapes, and the role of making in the developing the experience of being ‘at home’. The series recognises that we live in a time in which the concepts of home and connection to landscape are problematic: with complex white postcolonial presence, at the same time as ‘the home’ becoming a site of renewed social interest. This project represents the second phase of WORA’s 2018 ‘Conversation series’, a collection of filmed conversations exploring the sustainability of local art practice.
The series will be live in the drive at nmb 2 Campbell Street Castlemaine from Friday 18th December – January 1 2021. All conversations live via www.wideopenroadart.com.
