Creative gastronomy residencies program EOI out now!

The City of Greater Bendigo has launched the 2022 Creative Gastronomy Residency Program and is calling for creatives and artists across the Gastronomy region to apply for funded residency positions at five designated food businesses and organisations based in the region. This includes artists in Mount Alexander Shire!

After running a successful inaugural creative residency program last year, the City is offering a new set of residencies with a focus on UNESCO Creative City designation, collaborating with organisations from the food and farming sectors.

For the 2022 Creative Gastronomy Residency program, the City has partnered with PepperGreen Farm, Bendigo TAFE, Bridgeward Grove, Silver Spoon Estate, Bendigo Agricultural Show Society. The aim is to support artists and creatives selected for the residencies to develop their practice, test new ideas, create new work, build networks and professional connections through the Creative Gastronomy Residency program.

In 2019, the Bendigo greater region was designated the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, the first in Australia, in recognition of our region’s diverse food culture and our community’s commitment to local, sustainable produce. Read more about the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy designation on the Bendigo Gastronomy website.
