Anitra is a published creator of poetry, short films, a play, fiction and non-fiction articles, and non-fiction books. She has directed and produced many live performances.

She is an activist-scholar affiliated with the Informal Urbanism Research Hub (InfUr-) at the University of Melbourne. Her academic activities coincide with her political and philosophical interests, indeed passions — listen to this 2022 Future Xplorations or the 2021 Postcapitalism Podcast

Most recently Anitra has produced and directed a short film based on her book 'Beyond Money: A Postcapitalist Strategy'. The short film is called Beyond Money: Yenomon and comes out of a collaboration with other MAS creatives. (A link to the film is here)
