The Castlemaine Documentary Festival is held annually in July in Castlemaine's iconic Theatre Royal.
The Festival offers a curated program of superb Australian and international non-fiction films. Audiences are introduced to a series of fascinating worlds populated by enthralling characters. This year the Festival will curate and present a collection of creative, authentic, and local digital story-telling shorts in the form of LOCALS – a family friendly and jovial event. LOCALS will take place on the opening night of our 2022 festival program at the Theatre Royal, Friday 1st of July from 6pm.
