A series of unmanipulated drone photography by fine art photographer Eamon Wyss, of ephemeral salt lakes in Victoria
3 – 18 December 2022
‘Dreamscapes’ is a collection of dreaming stories found naturally in the landscape, purposely composed from the air to emulate abstract paintings.
The main inspiration for these works comes from Aboriginal dot paintings Eamon encountered in the Australian desert as a boy, which use both topographical and symbolic communication of the landscape to tell a story.
About the Artist
Eamon Wyss is a drone photographer with a passion for abstract storytelling. A lifelong disciplinary artist, he has developed a distinct creative style based on composition and colour theory, in which he pays meticulous attention to detail while composing his works from the air, seeking out what he describes as ‘contemporary dreaming stories’ that lay hidden in the landscape. In this way, his work first appears to the viewer as abstract paintings that play with our imagination; however, as the viewer steps closer, Mother Nature’s exquisite work is revealed.
