It is an inclusive, affirmative event, celebrating people of all genders, all abilities, and all bodies through a shared love of dance. Teams of local community members register their group, get together through the cold winter nights
It’s your chance to ‘dance like nobody’s watching’ when, for one song, and one night only, all eyes are on you.
Hot Moves No Pressure (HMNP) is a community dance extravaganza where anyone can take the lead. Think sequins, think kitsch, think rock eisteddfod. Channel ‘80s power ballads, dreamy double denim and the hottest moves this side of the Calder.
Themed battle rounds set the scene. The crowd decides who wins. But let’s be honest, you’re all winners really.
It’s time to gather a group of dancers, choose your song and get choreographing. HMNP 2023 is here, baby!

A Winemaking Co-operative…. Boomtown is a shared winemaking space established at The Mill, Castlemaine in January 2015 and is home to Minim Wine, Analog, Jeffrey Wine and Puta Bida. We make our own wines together, sharing equipment and ideas, and make a small range of simple, local wines under the Boomtown label. Boomtown is a place for young and aspiring winemakers to make a start on their own wines, contribute their own ideas and learn about Central Victorian wines. Our cellar door is open Friday nights in summer for reckless good times and weekend days for more serious wine business. Boomtown winery is located on Dja Dja Wurrung country. The Djaara (Dja Dja Wurrung people) have lived on these lands and cared for this country over many thousands of years. We acknowledge and offer our respect and deep gratitude to the traditional owners of the lands on which we farm and work.
