The Mill Castlemaine is a place to experience delicious local produce made onsite or grown nearby; a place to find vintage treasure and artisan-made wares, a place to admire and create art, and a place to enjoy live music and a variety of events.

There are three ‘precincts’ – food, vintage and artists/makers.

The Mill is home to the Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar and Platform No. 5, a ginormous emporium of over 2,500 square metres where a multitude of stallholders sell vintage and retro treasure, up-cycled, second-hand, antique and hand-made goods (showcasing the creative onsite makers), fine art, collectables, oddities and Asian artefacts.

There are artists in residence in quirky art spaces. Visitors can participate in workshops ranging from one hour drawing and print-making walk-up classes to pre-booked half-day or multi day mosaics workshops.

There are a number of other creative small businesses dotted around the site as well as street art by Baby Guerrilla, Damien Mitchell and Libre Hem.
